The Platinum Jubilee year 2012

A GOLDEN ERA in the history of R.L.V.College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura.

The Hon'ble Government of Kerala had provided Plan Fund assistance of Rupees 90.50,000/-   ( Rupees Ninenty Lakhs and Fifty Thousand) towards meeting the expenditure to be incurred in connection with the infra structural development, Modernization of Class rooms, Purchase of I.T. Equipments, Purchase of Modern Musical Instruments, Modernization of Art Gallery, Purchase of Fine Arts Study Materials , Visiting Places of Musical Importance, Fine Arts Importance and Naatya Importance.

As part of focusing  Academic initiatives of the Higher Education Department , eminent Scholars,Exponents in the Field of Music, Naatya and Fine Arts were invited to the campus as SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE. Al India Conference on Music, Naatya, Fine Arts education and Music -Naatya festival was organised as part of the Platinum Jubilee year. Padma Bhushan Dr. K.J.Yesudas inaugurated the celebrations in the presence of Padma Bhushan Sangeetha Kalanidhi Violin Exponent Prof.T.N.KRISHNAN , Padmabhushan Mridangam Exponent Dr.T.V.GOPALAKRISHNAN .

RECORDING STATION was inaugurated

Platinum Jubilee Memorial Recording Station

A fully equipped Recording Station was established in the College campus utilising the fund of the College Development Committee.
Padmabhushan Dr.K.J.YESUDAS the renowned Musician, playback singer and former student of the R.L.V.College of Music and Fine Arts inaugurated the recording Station on 3rd October 2012 on the Inaugural day of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in the presence of Sri.K.BABU, Hon'ble Minister for Excise and Ports, Govt. of Kerala, Sri.R.VENUGOPAL, Chairman, Tripunithura Municipality , Sri.P.I.SHEIK PAREETH.I.A.S. District Collector and Chairman of the College development Committee, Padmabhushan Prof.T.N.KRISHNAN, Padmabhushan Dr.T.V.GOPALAKRISHNAN, Prof.M.Balasubramoniam, Principal of the College, Sri.K.V.Kiranraj, College Union Chairman were present.
The Golden voice of Padmabhushan Dr.K.J.YESUDAS was recorded in the studio after the opening ceremony.
The week long MUSIC-NAATYA FESTIVAL was organised from 3.10.2012 to 9.10.2012 .
